1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Wet Ingredients:
1cup unsalted butter (softened)
1 1/4cups granulated sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sour cream
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
Add wet ingredients: Add the egg, vanilla extract, and sour cream, and beat until well combined.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
Mix the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until the dough comes together.
Shape and bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the baking sheets, flatten slightly, and bake for 9–11 minutes.
Cool and enjoy: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
