Cookie Dough:
1cup unsalted butter, softened
1cup granulated sugar
1/2cup packed light brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 tablespoons fresh orange zest (about 2 oranges)
2 1/2cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2cups white chocolate chips
1cup dried cranberries
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add wet ingredients: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract and orange zest.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Mix the dough: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips and dried cranberries.
Bake the cookies: Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Cool and enjoy: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra orange flavor, add a teaspoon of orange extract.
You can substitute white chocolate chips with chopped white chocolate chunks if preferred.
