1cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2cup granulated sugar
1/2cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1cup finely chopped walnuts
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cream butter and sugars: In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla: Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
Stir in walnuts: Fold in the chopped walnuts.
Bake: Drop the dough by rounded tablespoons onto the prepared baking sheet, flatten slightly, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden.
Cool: Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Notes:
For a crispier texture, bake an extra 1 to 2 minutes.
You can toast the walnuts beforehand for a deeper flavor.
