  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds
  • Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons slivered almonds
  • 1 tablespoon turbinado sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix dry ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, beat vegan butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Mix in maple syrup, vanilla extract, and almond extract.
