For the Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea:

  • 2 black tea bags
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water and steep the tea: In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the tea bags, reduce heat, and simmer for 3–5 minutes depending on desired strength. Remove tea bags.
  2. Prepare the milk tea: Stir in the milk, honey, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon. Simmer over low heat for another 2–3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Serve: Pour into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick or a light sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For an iced version, let the milk tea cool and serve over ice.
  • You can also froth the milk before adding it for a creamier texture.
