  • 20 soft caramel candies
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Wet Ingredients: Mix in the egg yolk, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Combine and Chill: Gradually add the dry ingredients to form a soft dough. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  6. Shape and Bake: Shape dough into balls, coat with egg white and pecans, then make an indentation. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
