Description

Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these Air Fryer French Fries are a healthier alternative to deep-fried versions. Quick, easy, and perfectly golden every time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Peel (optional) and cut potatoes into 1/4-inch thick matchsticks.
  2. Soak the potato slices in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat completely dry with paper towels.
  3. In a large bowl, toss dried potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  5. Place fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary).
  6. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until fries are golden and crispy.
  7. Serve hot with ketchup, aioli, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Do not skip soaking the potatoes; it helps achieve maximum crispiness.
  • For extra crispy fries, cook in smaller batches without overcrowding.
  • Season immediately after cooking for best flavor.
