For the patties:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce (plus more for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

For serving:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • lettuce
  • sliced tomato
  • red onion
  • mayonnaise or desired condiments

Instructions

  1. Prepare the patties: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, teriyaki sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Form into 4 patties.
  2. Cook the patties: Grill or cook in a skillet over medium-high heat for 4–5 minutes per side. Brush with teriyaki sauce and top with cheese during the last minute.
