  • 2 large eggs (beaten)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • vegetable oil for frying

For the sauce:

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 12 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to heat preference)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
  2. Dredge and coat: Dredge each chicken piece in cornstarch, then dip in beaten egg to coat.
  3. Fry the chicken: In a skillet, fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through.
