Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add wet ingredients: Beat in the egg, lemon zest, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Form cookie dough: Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
  6. Make filling: In a small bowl, blend cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon zest until smooth.
