Strawberry Margarita

A refreshing twist on the classic margarita featuring fresh strawberries, smooth tequila, and zesty lime—perfect for summer gatherings or a lively evening.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 2 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 oz triple sec (orange liqueur)
  • 1 oz freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • Ice cubes
  • Strawberry or lime slice, for garnish
  • Coarse salt or fine sugar, for rimming (optional)

Instructions

  1. Optional: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass and dip in coarse salt or sugar. Set aside.
  2. Combine fresh strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, and simple syrup in a blender.
  3. Add a handful of ice cubes and blend until smooth and slushy.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or lime as desired.
  5. Pour into the prepared glass (or glasses) and garnish with a fresh strawberry or lime slice.
  6. Serve immediately while cold and refreshing.

Notes

  • Use frozen strawberries instead of ice to intensify flavor and chill without dilution.
  • Make a pitcher by tripling the recipe and blending in batches for parties.
  • Try substituting triple sec with Cointreau or Grand Marnier for a more premium orange flavor.
  • For a lighter variation, replace half the tequila with sparkling water.
  • To make spicy, muddle a slice of jalapeño with strawberries before blending.
