For the Bars:
1 box (15.25 ounces) strawberry cake mix
1/2cup unsalted butter, melted
1 large egg
1 teaspoon lime zest
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
For the Filling:
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1cup white chocolate chips
1/2cup chopped dried strawberries or freeze-dried strawberries
Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, egg, lime zest, and lime juice. Mix until a thick dough forms.
Prepare the Base: Press two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
Add the Filling: Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the dough layer, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle white chocolate chips and chopped strawberries evenly over the top.
Top with Dough: Drop small pieces of the remaining dough on top of the filling, lightly pressing them down.
Bake: Bake for 28–32 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is just set.
Cool and Serve: Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing into bars.
Notes
You can use lemon zest in place of lime for a different citrus twist.
Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for a firmer texture.
