Units Scale

For the Dough:

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk (warmed)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 2 large eggs

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Let rise for 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Filling: Mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the risen dough, spread with butter and jam, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, and top with strawberries. Roll up and cut into rolls.
  3. Bake: Place rolls in a baking dish, let rise again, then bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes.
  4. Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • You can use frozen strawberries (thawed and drained) if fresh are unavailable.
  • Add a bit of cream cheese to the glaze for a tangy twist.
