For the Cake:
1 (21-ounce) can strawberry pie filling
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened and cubed
1/2cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 (15.25-ounce) box yellow cake mix
1/2cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1/2cup milk
Optional for Serving:
Fresh strawberries
Whipped cream
Instructions
Preheat and Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer the Ingredients: Spread the strawberry pie filling over the bottom of the dish. Beat cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the strawberry layer. Sprinkle dry cake mix on top.
Add the Butter-Milk Mixture: Combine melted butter and milk. Pour over the cake mix, covering as much as possible. Do not stir.
Bake: Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Cool slightly before serving.
Serve: Top with fresh strawberries or whipped cream if desired.
