Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Carne Asada:

  • 1 pound flank steak
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • Diced onion
  • Cilantro leaves
  • Sliced radishes
  • Lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine orange juice, lime juice, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Place the flank steak in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Let it rest before slicing.
  3. Assemble the Tacos: Slice the steak thinly against the grain. Warm the tortillas and fill each with steak slices, diced onion, cilantro, radishes, and a squeeze of lime.
  4. Serve: Serve the tacos warm with additional lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • You can also grill the steak for a smoky flavor.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less chili powder.
  • Top with your favorite salsa or hot sauce for extra kick.
