For the Sauce:
1/4cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
For the Stir-Fry:
1lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
3cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sesame oil.
Stir-Fry the Shrimp: Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Stir-fry the shrimp for 2–3 minutes until pink; set aside.
Stir-Fry the Broccoli: Add the remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry broccoli for 3–4 minutes. Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute.
Combine and Thicken: Return shrimp to the pan. Pour sauce over shrimp and broccoli. To thicken, add cornstarch slurry and stir until thickened.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
You can substitute chicken or tofu for shrimp.
For added heat, stir in red pepper flakes or sriracha.
