  • 8 oz lo mein or spaghetti noodles
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1/2 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Vegetables:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced

Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  1. Cook the Noodles: Prepare noodles according to package instructions. Drain, rinse under cold water, and toss with sesame oil.
  2. Prepare Protein: Season steak and shrimp with salt and pepper. Sear steak in 1 tablespoon of oil, then set aside. Cook shrimp until pink and opaque, then set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, stir-fry bell pepper, broccoli, and carrots until tender. Add green onions, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Return steak and shrimp to the pan with cooked noodles. Add sauce mixture and toss everything together.
