Pasta:

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups fresh spinach, roughly chopped
  • 1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta: Cook the ziti pasta until al dente, drain, and set aside.
  3. Prepare the spinach: Sauté garlic in olive oil, add spinach, and cook until wilted.
  4. Mix the cheeses: Combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, seasonings, and sautéed spinach.
  5. Layer the dish: Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, layer pasta, cheese mixture, and sauce, repeat, and top with mozzarella.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then bake uncovered until bubbly and golden.
