Units Scale

Main Ingredients:

  • 1 (10-ounce) package frozen chopped spinach (thawed and well-drained)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts (drained and finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 (1-ounce) packet vegetable soup mix (such as Knorr)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dip: In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped water chestnuts, green onions, and vegetable soup mix.
  2. Add Spinach: Stir in well-drained spinach, breaking it up to distribute evenly. Mix until well blended.
  3. Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Serve: Stir again before serving. Serve chilled with sliced baguette, crackers, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding a pinch of garlic powder or a splash of lemon juice.
  • This dip can also be served in a hollowed-out round loaf of bread with bread cubes on the side.
