Scale
Main Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese or cheese blend
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)
- Grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Chopped herbs (optional)
- Other vegetables (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the crisps.
- Prepare Spinach and Mix Ingredients: Rinse and finely chop the fresh spinach, then combine it in a large mixing bowl with shredded cheese, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly to blend all flavors evenly.
- Portion Mixture: Using a tablespoon or cookie scoop, portion the cheese mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart and flatten each mound slightly to help them crisp evenly.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the cheese crisps for 12-15 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the crisps from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes to firm up before transferring them to a serving platter. Optionally, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, or chopped herbs for added flavor.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to easily combine with the other ingredients.
- Flattening the cheese mounds slightly helps them cook evenly and get crispy.
- For extra flavor, add grated parmesan or red pepper flakes right before baking or after baking.
- Store leftover crisps in an airtight container for up to 3 days to maintain crispiness.
- These crisps are perfect as a low-carb snack or appetizer.
