Description

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs are a delicious and easy appetizer or main dish, featuring tender meatballs simmered in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen meatballs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (if using cornstarch)
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place the frozen meatballs into the slow cooker.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the meatballs and stir to coat evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or high for 2-3 hours, until the meatballs are heated through.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl and stir into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • You can use homemade meatballs instead of frozen ones—just pre-cook them before adding to the slow cooker.
  • Adjust the garlic and red pepper flakes to taste depending on your spice preference.
  • Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
