Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of celery or mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Stuffing:

  • 1 (6 oz) box stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Chopped parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions

  1. Prepare Slow Cooker: Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick spray.
  2. Season Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot and season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix Soup: In a medium bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, cream of celery (or mushroom) soup, and sour cream until smooth. Spread over the chicken.
  4. Prepare Stuffing: In another bowl, mix stuffing mix with chicken broth and melted butter until moistened. Spoon over the soup mixture.
  5. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until chicken is tender.
  6. Serve: Fluff stuffing before serving and garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use chicken thighs for a more tender result.
  • For added flavor, stir in cooked vegetables like green beans or corn during the last hour of cooking.
  • Leftovers store well and make great next-day lunches.
