Chicken:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Gravy:
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
1 packet (1 oz) chicken gravy mix
1/2cup low-sodium chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Garnish:
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Gravy: In a slow cooker, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Cook the Chicken: Add the chicken breasts to the slow cooker and coat them with the gravy mixture. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
Shred and Serve: Remove chicken from the slow cooker, shred or slice if desired, then return to the slow cooker and stir to coat in the gravy. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Garnish with chopped parsley if using.
Notes
Use low-sodium soup and broth to control salt levels.
This recipe can also be made with chicken thighs for extra tenderness.
