A flavorful and aromatic dish made with shrimp, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and a variety of spices, served over rice for a hearty and satisfying meal.
Add garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato paste, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and hot sauce. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
Season with paprika, thyme, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes to thicken slightly and allow flavors to meld.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3–5 minutes, or until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Stir in chopped parsley, then remove from heat.
Serve the shrimp creole over cooked rice and garnish with additional parsley if desired.
Notes
Adjust the heat level by adding more or less cayenne pepper and hot sauce to suit your preference.
For a thicker sauce, let the mixture simmer longer before adding the shrimp.
Can substitute shrimp with chicken or sausage for variation.
Make it a one-pot meal by cooking the rice in the same pan as the creole sauce.
