  • 1 pound ground lamb (or ground beef)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Topping:

  • 4 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Cook the Meat Filling: In a large skillet, brown the ground lamb. Add onion, garlic, mixed vegetables, tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  3. Assemble: Transfer the meat mixture to a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes over the top. Dot with butter and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
