- 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 1 small head green cabbage, chopped
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the onion and cook until translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the chopped cabbage, paprika, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour in the chicken broth, cover, and cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender.
- Return the sausage to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- Use turkey sausage for a leaner option.
- Add more red pepper flakes if you prefer extra heat.
- Serve with crusty bread or over rice for a complete meal.
