20 soft caramels, unwrapped

Instructions
Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients. In a separate large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, then gradually mix in the dry ingredients until dough forms.
Bake the Cookies: Scoop dough into balls, place on baking sheets, flatten slightly, and bake for 9–11 minutes until golden. Let cool on baking sheet before transferring to wire racks.
Prepare the Caramel Topping: Melt caramels and cream in a saucepan until smooth. Spoon caramel onto cookies, sprinkle with sea salt, and allow caramel to set before serving.
