2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 1/2cups heavy whipping cream (divided)
1/4cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Caramel Layer:
1/2cup caramel sauce
1/2 teaspoon flaky sea salt
Optional Garnish:
Chocolate cookie crumbs or crushed pretzels
Instructions
Melt Chocolate: In a heatproof bowl, melt the chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Let cool slightly.
Whip Cream: In a large bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Combine: Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
Prepare Caramel Layer: In another bowl, whisk 1/2 cup of cream with caramel sauce until smooth.
Layer: Alternate chocolate mousse and caramel mixture in cups. Chill for at least 1 hour.
Serve: Drizzle with extra caramel sauce, sprinkle sea salt, and garnish with crumbs or pretzels before serving.
