Ingredients

Scale

Cake Balls:

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese (softened)

Coating and Decoration:

  • 1 (12-ounce) package white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • Red and white sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bake the Red Velvet Cake: Prepare and bake the red velvet cake according to package instructions. Let it cool completely.
  2. Prepare the Cake Balls: Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs in a large bowl. Mix in the softened cream cheese until fully combined and the mixture holds together like dough.
  3. Shape the Cake Balls: Scoop and roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 30–45 minutes until firm.
  4. Coat with Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts. Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Top with sprinkles and chill until firm.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • You can use dark or milk chocolate coating instead of white if preferred.
