3/4cup buttermilk
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
For the Garlic Butter Topping:
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
Instructions
Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, salt, and sugar.
Add butter and cheese: Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in shredded cheddar cheese.
Combine wet ingredients: Pour in buttermilk and mix just until combined. Do not overmix.
Bake: Scoop dough onto the baking sheet and bake for 12–14 minutes until golden brown.
Prepare topping: Mix melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush over warm biscuits.

Notes
For extra cheesy biscuits, fold in an additional 1/4 cup of cheddar.
