  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Topping:

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
  • Optional: chopped pecans or walnuts
  • For Serving:

    • Maple syrup, powdered sugar, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Casserole: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and add the cubed bread in an even layer.
