  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon chopped green onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, water, and sugar until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Let the sauce sit for 5–10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
  4. Garnish with chopped green onions just before serving if desired.
