- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add beef slices and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add bell pepper and onion, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables begin to soften.
- Add pineapple and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Return the beef to the pan, and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir everything together to coat evenly.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add chili flakes or fresh sliced chili peppers.
- If you don’t have fresh pineapple, canned pineapple can be used, but make sure to drain it well.
- You can substitute the beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
