Description

A flavorful stir fry combining tender beef with sweet pineapple, creating a balance of savory and sweet flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add beef slices and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add bell pepper and onion, stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until vegetables begin to soften.
  5. Add pineapple and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Return the beef to the pan, and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Stir everything together to coat evenly.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with sesame seeds if desired. Serve hot with rice.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chili flakes or fresh sliced chili peppers.
  • If you don’t have fresh pineapple, canned pineapple can be used, but make sure to drain it well.
  • You can substitute the beef with chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
