  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

For the cheesecake layer:

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the pecan pie topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the crust: Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Mix graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and melted butter. Press into the pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the cheesecake layer: Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, then pour over warm crust. Bake for 25–30 minutes.
  3. Prepare the pecan pie topping: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, cream, and butter. Boil, then remove from heat. Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  4. Assemble and chill: Pour pecan topping over the cheesecake layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Slice into bars before serving.

Notes
