Brownie Batter:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Peanut Butter Filling:

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt Butter and Combine: Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl, stir in sugar until glossy. Cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Prepare Dry Ingredients: Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Make Peanut Butter Layer: Mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Layer Batter: Spread half of the brownie batter in the pan, add spoonfuls of peanut butter mixture, top with remaining batter.
  7. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until set. Cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer chocolate flavor, add ½ cup chopped dark chocolate to the batter.
  • You can swirl the peanut butter for a marbled effect instead of layering it.
