Peanut Butter Frosting:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream (plus more as needed)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the peanut butter and softened butter together until smooth and creamy. Add the powdered sugar gradually, mixing on low speed to prevent a sugar cloud.
  2. Pour in the vanilla extract and salt, then beat until incorporated.
  3. Add the heavy cream and increase the mixer speed to medium-high, whipping until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more cream, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

Notes

  • For a sweeter frosting, add up to 1/2 cup more powdered sugar.
