Ingredients

Scale

Cookie Dough:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 3¼ cups all‑purpose flour
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips

Filling:

  • 30 miniature peanut butter cups (or chopped)
  • 1 (14‑oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 °F. Line a 9×13‑inch pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  2. Prepare the Cookie Dough: In a large bowl, stir melted butter with granulated and brown sugar. Add eggs one at a time until combined. Mix in vanilla, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir in flour, then mix in chocolate chips.
  3. Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk and peanut butter until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Bars: Press half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan. Scatter peanut butter cups over the dough. Pour the condensed milk mixture over the top, leaving about a ¼‑inch border. Break up the remaining dough and dot it over the filling, pressing lightly.
  5. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden on top and just set in the center.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For easier pressing, spray hands with nonstick spray.
  • Use mini peanut butter cups or chop larger ones.
  • Bars are best enjoyed at room temperature and can be stored airtight for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 1 month.
