Cake:

  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 3.4 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Glaze:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a Bundt pan thoroughly.
  2. Mix the batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, eggs, vegetable oil, orange juice, orange zest, and vanilla extract. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2 minutes until smooth.
  3. Bake the cake: Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  4. Prepare the glaze: While the cake is baking, melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Stir in the powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth and slightly thickened.
  5. Glaze the cake: Remove the cake from the oven, cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack or serving plate. Spoon the warm glaze over the hot cake.
  6. Cool and serve: Let the cake cool completely before slicing and serving.
