Salmon Patties:

  • 1 (14.75-ounce) can pink salmon, drained and flaked (bones and skin removed if desired)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup finely diced onion
  • 1/4 cup finely diced green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs or crushed saltine crackers
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the salmon, egg, onion, bell pepper, breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Shape Patties: Shape the mixture into 6 equal-sized patties.
  3. Fry Patties: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the patties for 3–4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Drain and Serve: Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Serve warm with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a dash of hot sauce or a pinch of Old Bay seasoning to the mixture.
  • Patties can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 1 day before frying.
