  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 pounds ground beef

Sauce and Seasonings:

  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Additional:

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni (uncooked)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil: In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Sauté onion and garlic: Add diced onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
  3. Cook the beef: Add ground beef, cook until browned, breaking it up.
  4. Add sauce and seasonings: Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Simmer.
  5. Cook the macaroni: Stir in uncooked macaroni, cover, and cook for 15–20 minutes until pasta is tender.
  6. Finish and serve: Stir in shredded cheddar cheese if desired. Serve hot.
