These Nutella puff pastries are a delightful treat that combines the buttery crispness of puff pastry with the rich, chocolatey goodness of Nutella. Easy to make and even easier to enjoy, these pastries are perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.

Puff Pastry:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)

Nutella Filling:

  • 1/2 cup Nutella or other chocolate-hazelnut spread

Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tablespoon milk

Additional:

  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)
  • Optional chopped hazelnuts for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the pastry: Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 6 equal rectangles or squares.
  3. Add the filling: Spread Nutella on one half of each piece, fold over, and press edges to seal.
  4. Brush with egg wash: Whisk the egg with milk and brush the pastries.
  5. Bake: Place on baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden.
  6. Finish and serve: Dust with powdered sugar, sprinkle with hazelnuts, and serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can add sliced bananas or strawberries with the Nutella for a fruity twist.
  • Best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven for a crisp texture.
