Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make Nacho Cheese Beef Wrap featuring seasoned ground beef, spicy nacho cheese sauce, fresh vegetables, and a delicious combination of textures wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. Perfect for a quick dinner or satisfying lunch.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 1/4 cup salsa

Wrap Fillings

  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1/4 cup crushed tortilla chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Sauté Vegetables and Add Spices: Add the diced onion and garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until softened. Stir in chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, mixing well to coat the beef evenly.
  3. Add Cheese Sauce and Salsa: Stir in the nacho cheese sauce and salsa, and continue cooking for another 2 to 3 minutes until heated through and well combined with the beef mixture.
  4. Warm the Tortillas: Slightly warm the flour tortillas to make them more pliable. This can be done in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds.
  5. Assemble the Wraps: Spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto the center of each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, and a drizzle of sour cream if using. Sprinkle crushed tortilla chips on top for added crunch.
  6. Roll the Wraps: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly into a wrap, ensuring all fillings are secured inside.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately while warm. Optionally, warm the assembled wraps in a skillet for 1 to 2 minutes per side for a slightly crispy outer layer.

Notes

  • You can swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
  • For extra spice, add diced jalapeños or use a spicy nacho cheese sauce.
  • Warming the wraps in a skillet after assembling adds a nice crispy texture.
  • Feel free to add other fresh toppings like avocado or cilantro based on preference.
