Marry Me Salmon is a creamy, flavorful dish featuring tender salmon fillets cooked in a rich sun-dried tomato and garlic cream sauce. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter. Sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan cheese. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top. Simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
  • Serve with pasta, rice, or steamed vegetables.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan provides the best flavor.
