Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (or 68 chicken thighs)
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 68 pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice
  • salt and pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in the slow cooker: Arrange the chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Season the chicken: Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus gravy mix over the chicken.
  3. Add butter and pepperoncini: Lay slices of butter on top of the chicken, then position the pepperoncini peppers around and over the chicken.
  4. Pour in juice: Drizzle the pepperoncini juice over everything in the slow cooker.
  5. Cook the chicken: Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 4 hours until the chicken is tender and easily shreds.
  6. Shred and mix: Shred the chicken in the juices and mix well.
  7. Serve: Serve warm over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or on sandwich buns.

  • You can use frozen chicken, just adjust the cook time slightly.
