Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread: Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each bread piece. If using, spread a light layer of mayo on the opposite side.
  2. Assemble the Sandwiches: Sandwich a slice of cheese between two pieces of bread, with buttered sides facing out.
  3. Cook the Mini Grilled Cheese: Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook the mini sandwiches in batches for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
