For the donuts:
1 box funfetti cake mix
1/2cup unsweetened applesauce
1cup water
For the glaze:
1cup powdered sugar
2–3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Colorful sprinkles, for topping
Instructions
Preheat and prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
Mix the ingredients: In a bowl, combine the funfetti cake mix, unsweetened applesauce, and water until well mixed.
Fill the donut pan: Spoon the batter into a piping bag or a ziplock bag with the corner snipped off. Pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each cavity about 2/3 full.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Make the glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Glaze the donuts: Once the donuts have cooled slightly, dip the tops into the glaze and place them on a wire rack. Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles while the glaze is still wet.
Serve: Allow the glaze to set before serving the donuts. Enjoy!
Notes
For a richer flavor, you can substitute milk for the water in the donut batter.
