  • zest of 1 lemon

Filling:

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • zest of 2 lemons
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)

Lemon Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk

Instructions

  1. Dough Preparation: Combine warm water, warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Add melted butter, egg, lemon zest, and salt. Gradually mix in flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth. Let rise until doubled.
  2. Filling: Mix lemon zest and sugar. Roll dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, sprinkle lemon-sugar, roll, and cut into rolls. Arrange in a baking dish and let rise.
  3. Baking: Bake until golden. Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, lemon juice, and cream. Drizzle over warm rolls.
