These Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls are a delightful dessert that combines the creaminess of cheesecake with the bright flavors of lemon, all wrapped up in a flaky crescent roll. Perfect for a sweet treat or special occasion!

Ingredients

Crescent Roll Dough:

1 (8 oz) can crescent roll dough

Cream Cheese Filling:

4 oz cream cheese (softened), 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, 1 teaspoon lemon zest, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Topping:

1 tablespoon melted butter, 1 tablespoon coarse sugar or powdered sugar for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a small bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Assemble the Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough from the wide end to the tip, enclosing the filling.
  4. Bake: Place the rolls on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with coarse sugar if desired. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Serve: Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.

Notes

  • For a shortcut, use store-bought lemon curd in place of lemon juice and zest.
  • Best served warm but can be reheated in a toaster oven.
