  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons capers (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt butter with olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Pour in the broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and capers. Let the sauce simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly reduced.

  5. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
