  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • pastel-colored sprinkles (for garnish)

Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the baking sheet: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, then mix in milk and extracts. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Shape and bake: Roll dough into ropes, shape into loops or twists, and place on baking sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden. Cool on a wire rack.
  4. Make the glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Glaze the cookies: Dip the cooled cookies in the glaze, then add sprinkles. Allow to set before serving.
